I believe that as humans, we all have the capacity to move towards healing. It is through being in connection with others, that we can find the safety and courage to do so. It is my hope that together, we can move through this journey and arrive at a place of authenticity.
I am a Registered Psychologist practicing in Calgary, Alberta. I have been providing counselling services since 2014, and specialize in working with Adults who have experienced trauma in their life. Trauma can look different for each and every person; what may be traumatizing for one, may not be for another. You get to name your own experiences, and together, we can work towards lessening the impact of these events.
I follow a Client-Centered approach and view you as being the expert in your own life! My practice is informed by Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Feminist Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Somatic Psychotherapy. I am committed to ongoing professional development and I have participated in numerous trainings and workshops, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). From the moment we meet, we will work in a collaborative manner to address your concerns and achieve your goals.
When I am not with clients, you are likely to find me either at the gym, practicing yoga, or out with my Husband, walking our two, giant, American Bulldogs!
